Landmark Planning Consent - 'Build to Rent' High Rise Residential

The Piccadilly Stockport project is a major apartment building scheme in the heart of Stockport, UK. The development features an 18-storey tower with 100 luxury apartments, along with a range of amenities including a rooftop garden, gym, and concierge service. 

Our role was to oversee the design team and ensure that the project brief was completed on time and within budget. This involved working closely with the architects, engineers, and other consultants to develop a detailed design that met the client's requirements and complied with local planning regulations. 

One of the key challenges we faced was gaining planning approval for the development. The site was located in a sensitive area of the town centre, with several listed buildings nearby.

To address these concerns, we worked closely with the local planning authority to develop a design that was sympathetic to the surrounding area while also providing a modern and attractive addition to the skyline.

This involved extensive consultation with local stakeholders and community groups, as well as detailed analysis of the site's context and the wider urban environment. 

Overall, managing the design team and gaining planning approval on the Piccadilly Stockport project was a complex and challenging process, but with careful planning, close collaboration and attention to detail, we were able to deliver a successful and highly regarded scheme that meets the needs of the local community and enhances the urban environment.
